Discussion issues:
Communications to Branch Board members;
Jerry will write a one page update from Kathy and Rand to send out to the branch Board members as soon as this week.
Interim CEO job descriptions
Jerry will complete for both Chris and Ken and will execute.
Weekly meetings
It was agreed that this was a good idea and Jerry will coordinate
Community Prayer Breakfast
We will do a joint event in November the week before Thanksgiving. We will consider moving it to Good Friday at a later date. Debra will coordinate for WV and Jonathan for DB. Chris and Ken will work at the keynote speaker but leave the management of the event to the representatives and respective committees. it was agreed that this year needs to be a quality event.
Budget Process
It was agreed that we would move forward as usual with the budgeting process beginning in August for both associations. Although work will be done for the merger process we will still develop individual budgets until told otherwise. Chris and Ken will call a meeting with Dave and Steve and then ask them to lay out a schedule and process. They will manage the schedule and ken and Chris will monitor.
Staff meetings
Jerry will not plan to attend all staff meeting but will when he or the interim CEO believes it might be helpful. It is important that we keep the key staff completely informed. We will have a collective staff meeting before the Letter of Intent is delivered to the Boards. WV meets every Tuesday at noon. DB meets on the second Thursday. Jerry will attend the DB staff meeting tomorrow. The next WV all staff meeting is scheduled for August 31 st. The General Assembly for DB is August 21 st.
Capital Projects
Chris gave a brief description of the status of the branches capital projects. Ken will brief the team at the next meeting.
Membership agreement
We decided to continue to work towards a previously agreed upon receptacle membership by the end of the year. Unless the Merger Membership and Program Committee direct us otherwise we will continue to work towards this end.
